Q: Can you tell me a little bit about the training? What does it include?
A: Our online leader training workshop is a self-paced PowerPoint-based online course that covers everything you'd need to get started as a STEP leader. It covers the history, foundation, and philosophy of STEP, how to start and lead a group, and how to use the STEP kit as a leader. It also has guidance and resources about leading STEP virtually and individual. It includes 6 months of access to the training, a parent handbook of your choice, access to digital versions of evaluation forms, parent surveys, flyers, and an online facilitation guide, a 10% coupon off your next purchase on the STEP website, and a certification of completion. The cost is $199 per registration or $179 for 10 or more registrations.
Q: How much is your online training?
A: Our online training is $199 per registrant or $179 per registrant for 10 or more registrations. There is no tax unless you live in Texas.
Q: How long is the training?
A: We say the training is 6 hours long, but this can vary greatly depending on how the user paces themselves and how many notes they take, etc. Generally, it probably takes folks less than 6 hours to complete the training.
Q: How long do I have access to the course?
A: You have access to the course for 6 months from the date of purchase.
Q: I live in Texas and am tax exempt. How do I get tax exemption from Teachable?
A: Once you have purchased the course, you can provide your tax exemption certificate to tax@teachable.com. Once the Finance team has validated the certificate, Teachable willl refund the sales tax portion of your transaction.
Q: Can STEP be taught online/virtually?
A: Absolutely! The biggest resource we have created to help conduct STEP virtually is PowerPoint slide decks. They can be purchased on our website here: https://www.steppublishers.com/products/step-slide-decks
